I am a long time Yugioh fan. I watched all of its seasons and even watched Arc V and Vrains (and that Sevens trash too) as they aired and I was always a big fan of it through its first 6 seasons. BUT I can easily say that the franchise I loved so deeply before is now ruined because of the basic ass Rush duels and its stupid elementary school level comedy kid show animes instead of ACTUAL ones like the first 6.

And Compare to Yugioh, I have little to no connection with Shadowverse and yet here I can EASILY say that this show is not only MUCH MUCH better than the current Yugioh clownfest kid shows and have better written plays and “duels” but actually continues its universe much better too (not to mention not 14 episodes of pitiful tutorial)

Revolver was done as Playmaker's rival with season 1. They didnt bother giving them a duel in season 2 and neither in season 3 since Ai got all the attention.

And judging the issues Gallop had since Arc-V, I am not surprised they wants Vrains done as fast as possible

Vrains has never suck. There more people that watch Vrains than the combine total of all Sevens and Go Rush. Vrains just has a huge production issue that ended it. Sevens has never make as much as Vrains.

Funny but I don’t remember Japanese people getting as upset as they were when Sevens was announced to end soon compared to the quick ending of Vrains.

Meanwhile there is zero interest in Vrains. Hell, it didnt even get a manga. Kinda weird if it was sooo much better than Sevens.

should also be noted that the only yugioh series that take place in the same universe are the og, GX & 5ds. you can also tell that zexal is when the quality of yugioh series started to drop off.
zexal, arc-v, vrains, are all in their own universes, separate from each other and the other 2 universes
sevens and go rush are the first 2 yugioh series to actually be connected since 5ds, though its more like repeating a mistake. worst part is that you could see go rush not being that bad if they removed the half-assed jokes

And well, Takahashi's main goal with yugioh was to show people understanding each other and conveying their feelings through dueling. We still have that with Sevens and Go Rush. It doesn't matter that they play Rush Duels instead of Master Duel. And if Takahashi hated Rush Duel, he likely would've made a post on instagram about it.

Hell, Yugi would love new types of dueling and the other protags would be interested too.

You can't expect the same kind of boom that Kazauki Yugioh card compare to Rush Duel cards. Rush cards cant make profit long term if it just focus on on one country. It need the world to buy into the game. But frankly It hasn't really sell that much. ENGLISH VERSON OF RUSH CARD HAS NOT BEEN PRINTED. Over two or Three years during Sevens era. It has not printed a single English card. People won't buy into these cards. Even Kids around the world won't buy these cards. Rush Duel is a faillure that it can't sell it product around the world. The anime is AZZ everyone know it and it a AZZ in disgrace to Yugioh Franchise.

Anime is a sole reason why Yugioh is popular. You can't have a profitable game without doing well outside the world. If the anime not doing well outstide the world. That mean it a failure. You don't see card being made and don't show up three year later. They haven't release the dub yet. Three years late. It won't be fine. Game need to profit there product outstide. Yugioh is a brand that meant to release there product to the world. You can't have something and wont mass reproduce it. The proof is there. They try to test it. but in these three years. They haven't gotten Konami to print these. Its a utter Failure.

oh, how much a difference it would've make if Skeleton Raider in the mobile game would need to use Necromancy(6) to destroy a follower as well. Instead, they removed the costs (making it a normal fanfare) and made his 8pp costs reduceable whenever your allied follower evolves. he's so strong there you can see him being slotted into every Shadowcraft decks in Rotation format.

and yeah, I always have a hunch that Laevateinn Dragon could do more than just Rush, PP recovery, and Drago Weapon creation. definitely feels too plain for an ace of a main character otherwise. Although, Hahajima's ace seemingly only does board clear and nothing else.... Anyway, I would assume either he would need to arm Laevatein Dragon to see its other effect or it's on the evolved form, kinda like Haruma's Deathschyte Hound.
